Direction of Use
Equipment for Use: Fipronil 0.05% Gel requires special equipment like a bait gun for application.
Method of Application: The gel is compact and easy to use. Fit the cartridge containing the insecticide to the specially designed bait gun for precision dosing. Each shot releases 0.1 gm of Fipronil Gel. Identify the cockroach species as it influences the spot size: 3-4 mm in diameter for smaller German Cockroaches and 6 mm for larger American Cockroaches. Adjust spot size to account for consumption differences. Assess the cockroach infestation level to determine the number of spots needed (3-4 spots per sq. mtr. recommended). Calculate treatment area based on the surface area of the site, not floor area.
Mode of Action: Cockroaches may start feeding on Fipronil 0.05% Gel soon after application. The gel doesn't affect them immediately, and they may return to their nest. Grooming among cockroaches in the nest spreads the active ingredient. Transfer also occurs through feeding on contaminated feces and cannibalizing dying cockroaches. This transfer, known as the "cascade" effect, makes Fipronil 0.05% Gel highly effective in controlling entire cockroach populations.
